Sabritec, part of the global technology business Smiths Group, is a market leader supplying engineering-to-order interconnect solutions to the military and aerospace industries. The major challenge at Sabritec is to respond to the fast-paced growth of the company driven by perpetual increases in sales.
After many months of strategic planning and evaluation, Sabritec invested in three enterprise applications to facilitate their growth: 1) Enterprise Resource Management, 2) Customer Relationship Management, and 3) Visidian Connect.
While the former two applications provide improvements to the front end of the business, resource planning, and financial management, Visidian Connect is the common thread that unifies the entire organization to create, manage, share, and store all of Sabritec’s intellectual capital into a centralized location.
I was very involved in selecting Visidian Connect and ensuring that its deployment was in-line with our lean initiatives. Since the implementation, I’ve seen how efficient the application has been in servicing all levels of our organization. New enterprise installations are typically met with a certain level of push-back but this was not the case with Visidian. The users readily embraced the system and were excited about how quickly they can find product content from a single source that they can trust.
