The Customer Records feature is about communicating customer design requirements to the entire organization. It provides a cross reference between the customer specification number and the company’s internal part number along with their revisions. Customer changes are managed in this module ensuring that stipulated requirements are met prior to product shipment. Here are some additional details:
- Customer Specification Management – Derive customer part numbers from their specification and establish revision control regardless of what revision characters and/or numbers they use. Clearly identify the status of the document with preliminary, released or obsolete.
- Customer Part Number Search – Customers often purchase products by using their part number on the purchase order. Users in the sales department can easily find the customer part number and its relationship to the internal part number.
- Customer and Contact Information – Store customer and contact information in Visidian’s database to manage communications with your customers.
- Export Control – Ensure export compliance by flagging and restricting access to all customer documents that are export controlled.
